ABOUT THE DATA AND ANALYTICS OFFICE

This team is expected to lead innovation through data and insights, and is responsible for executing the enterprise data management strategy. By providing actionable insights to the business, the team help create solutions for our internal businesses and customers that can help achieve financial goals, improve customer experiences and protect customer and bank information allowing the Bank to serve our customers with greater value, depth and differentiation.

Focus of the team are Customers, Product, and Innovation:

  • Customer Focus: specializes in statistics, data science, visual analytics and data management to address business problems and support Growth Hacking and POC activities
  • Product and Innovation: Provides inputs and constant feedback to the product teams

JOB SUMMARY

As Head of Digital Data & Analytics, the expectations are the following:

  • VISION AND STRATEGY
    • Sets the vision and culture and championing the use of data in business decisions and monetizing data to our customers
    • Develops the enterprise data strategy with inputs from the business and ensures that the enterprise data strategy is aligned with the Bank’s OGSM.
  • ANALYTICS
  • Create business-oriented actionable insights, obtained from data, and backed by data science techniques
  • Day-to-day activities include collecting data and using it to create business intelligence models
  • Responsible for identifying Reporting and Visualization tools that may be needed by the organization
  • Ensures (not execute) that there is a data warehouse as a central repository for all information of the Bank
  • Formulates the Data Governance and Management policies and framework

 

  • DATA
    • Manages the Governance and Management of data across the enterprise as an asset
    • Focuses on data quality in data processes through data mining
    • Drives maximum value from data by identifying processes that can deliver better business outcome

 

  • THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
    • Researches and follows industry trends and translates it into product and architecture strategies
    • Work with Product and Marketing on planning, strategy and Go-To-Market campaigns

 

Lead the Digital Data & Analytics team anchored on RBank’s Core Values of Concern for Individual, Excellence, Leadership, Teamwork, Integrity and Change, towards the fulfillment of RBank’s Mission and Vision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and executes the enterprise Data agenda and strategy in line with the Bank’s policies and standards and local regulation
  • Develops, implements and communicates internal data policies and governance framework
  • Develops data strategies to identify business opportunities to drive commercial value
  • Drives the strategic vision of enabling data as an asset to the Bank and help promote this culture with the business
  • Partners with Legal, Compliance, Risk, DPO and IT Risk to ensure that data management implementation is in support of regulatory data-requirements and are consistent with data management practices and tools.
  • Executes any regulatory change implementation for all data-related regulations and ensures that processes and procedures are in place to meet the requirements
  • Presents a holistic, aggregated view of all aspects of data risk and emerging control issues to senior management and governance committees
  • Develop reporting and metrics to support governance meetings
  • Participate in regulatory audits and inspections
  • Develop regulatory advocacy strategy that is supportive of long-term business growth
  • Promote awareness of data culture across the Bank

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCY):

Education:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Communication, Statistics or equivalent

Experience:

  • Preferably with at least 5 years of experience in Data management, analytics, or business intelligence, preferably from a financial services institution, a telco or a fintech
  • Experience in being a part of a team that built the Data and Analytics capability of the organization
  • Experience in building and leading quantitative analyses as well as experience building response and risk models for business.
  • Experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business’s performance and driving top-line growth
  • Must be a team player, able to work with colleagues at all levels of the business

 

Competencies:

  • Must Have: Data Science and Analytics Skills; Big Data experience a plus
  • Understanding of Technology
    • Should be familiar with types of information and emerging technology environments that support analytics and AI, such as open-source tools etc
